Cicero Buck joined forces in the summer of 2000.

Kris began a music career in high school and college, forming her first band, Perfect Strangers, in Cleveland, Mississippi in the mid-80's. Meanwhile, Joe Hughes was enjoying success as one half of the duo the Lover Speaks and they had just released their first album with a wonderful song on it entitled 'No More I Love You's'.

Kris eventually ended up in Nashville and from 1989 to 1999 you might have heard of a group called For Kate's Sake. Featuring some great players who have gone on to other fantastic projects, For Kate's Sake was an acoustic rock act with a strong local following. Joe came to one such gig at the famed Exit/In and the rest, they say is history.

Kris moved to England in the summer of 2000 and immediately Cicero Buck began working on songs. Delicate Shades of Grey, their first release, was recorded in London in the spring of 2002 and released on their own label, Super Tiny Records. 'It came from Atlantis' said No Depression magazine and Uncut magazine gave it a three star thumbs up.

Their second album, 'Humbucky', will be released in the fall of 2004 and features their own material plus an acoustic version of Joe Hughes and David Freeman's smash 'No More I Love You's'.

.. a stronger leaning on the jazz-blues-folk colours...while their melodic sensibilities and awareness of what makes a perfectly crafted grown up pop song are, if anything, stronger than ever. ...the album's two gold-plated standouts, the aching Catching You In Between and their sparse, stripped back piercingly touching revival of Hughes's classic old hit No More I Love You's on which Wilkinson's voice stands shoulder to shoulder with Christine Collister. And frankly, recommendations don't come much higher than that. Humdinger. - Mike Davies, Sept. 04, Netrhythms.co.uk
