Welcome Ruby
to Cicero Buck!
We've gone a bit quiet over the last few months but for very good reason
(well, WE think so!). We welcomed Ruby into our lives in May and are now enjoying
our summer of babydom. Ain't nothin' like it, that's all I'm sayin'! Needless
to say our gigs have come to a temporary halt but look for a couple local
gigs in the fall. And with a Nashville trip booked for February, all you folks
back in Music City have plenty of time to clear your schedules! Until then,
check the website for your Cicero Buck fix...
Rockfish 'Nick'
produces 'Muddy Water'
The last song recorded by Cicero Buck was around the first of the year
- a tribute to Jeff Buckley intitled 'Muddy Water'. A sample of this track
is available on the 'Music' page. Fingers
crossed it lands on a tribute album in the pipeline...
Just for fun...
Here is the 'babelfish' translation of a dutch review...a good review is good
in any language!
Also within the
Americanastroming improbable combinations exist. Cicero Buck exist e.g. from
female American singer/songwriter, kris Wilkinson, and an English headstock
bass player, Joe Hughes. Last mentioned has the number No More I Love You's
that in 1986, an English hit was for The lover Speaks, on its conto stand.
This number returns here on Humbucky (own management) in beautiful, stripped,
version. Furthermore Cicero Buck make a form of poppy folk with clear countryinvloeden.
Fine songs with nice koortjes, from time to time trompetje (like in Black
Road). Strongest point of this two-high rolling mill is the song of kris Wilkinson.
Clearly and nevertheless robust, a beetje like ever also Allison Moyet did
that. Furthermore striking to this cd: the orkestrale arrangements of another
kris Wilkinson. In this case Kristin Wilkinson which ensures already about
thirty years strijkarrangementen on all cd's from Nashville. All numbers cannot
me charm as much. Eyelashes e.g. are me at poppy. But generally I am in my
nopjes with this cd with high roarring quality. Cicero Buck leave me with
What I Couldn't Say. Whereas I luidkeels sing along these splendid ballad
to mark I that my
eyes start prick. pot far three, Cicero Buck (Hugo bird)
