- Kris, Cicero Buck

...Just
as I was about to consign them to the 'Where are they now' category, Anglo-American
husband and wife duo Kris Wilkinson and Joe Hughes (aka Cicero Buck) are back
with a brand new album. Their debut album, 'Delicate Shades of Grey', was one
of my albums of the year in 2002 and I'm pleased to report that the long wait
has been worthwhile, 'Humbucky' is a cracking piece of work. Kris, the American
half, has a quite superb voice as she ranges from immense power to hushed whisper
and handles the many diverse styles which permeate the album with effortless
ease. Best moment? Possibly the sparse reworking of 'No More I Love You's',
the song which Joe Hughes co-wrote and which was covered by Annie Lennox, but
each and every track offers something new and something different. Superb! Welcome
back to Cicero Buck. - Steve Ward, Classic Rock Society, Nov/Dec 2004
